St. Patrick’s Day Children’s Costumes

Children enjoy dressing up for St. Patrick’s Day as much as adults do. Allowing them to do so can help them to have a love of this special day that will carry on as they become adults too. You will find an array of great costumes for children of all ages.

Leprechauns of all Sizes

The Leprechaun is the most common children’s costume to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. You will find great costumes in this department for boys or for girls. Some of them are scary and others are fun. You may want to take the age of your child into consideration.

For younger children you will want to keep the costume simple. That way they can get in and out of it with ease. For older children, you can allow them to make it more unique by adding various accessories to it. They will enjoy being creative and adding their own personal touches. Then they will proudly wear that costume for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

For girls, there are Leprechaun costumes that feature a dress instead of pants. This is great idea for girls that love to get dressed up. If your child doesn’t want to go all out for their costume, they may be happy with a green vest, a hat, or other similar items that they can have an enjoyable time with.

Kids Activities

To get your children more involved with St. Patrick’s Day, you can offer activities for them to take part in throughout the day. They can help with making food that is going to be used for a party. They can even make sugar cookies in the shape of shamrocks. They will have fun decorating them as well as eating them.

You can make the difficulty involved with kids activities fit the different age groups. You may need to get the help of several parents in order to make this work. That way you don’t have younger children that can’t take part in the fun. You also don’t have older children that aren’t having a good time.
